NAGAFF President Congratulates CGC Adeniyi on First-Year-in-Office Anniversary
The National President of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, has congratulated the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, for his remarkable contributions to the Nigeria Customs Service during his first year in office.
Ezisi, who is also the MD/CEO of Emmatoks Agencies Limited, praised Adeniyi during an interview with journalists stating that his first year in office has brought tremendous innovation to the Service.
He said: “Within his first 365 days in office, the CGC has introduced significant innovations and developments to the Service.
“The continuous training and retraining of Officers and Freight Forwarders to international standards have positively impacted revenue generation and Custom overall services.
“Also, there have been harmonious relationships between Officers, Freight Forwarders, and importers, evidenced by the Service generating over ₦4.1 trillion in one year.”
“Both young and experienced officers now demonstrate greater confidence in interpreting the tariff book, and paper documentation has decreased. CG Adeniyi has also motivated Officers with timely promotions, encouraging them to give their best, which has contributed to the achievements recorded so far.”
Ezisi the while commending the CG urged him to continue his hard work and dedication to duty in transforming the Service.
“He has achieved numerous milestones as CG in such a short time, leading officers and stakeholders to expect even more. As the saying goes, the reward for a job well done is more work.”
