Maritime Industry Big Wigs, Agencies to Grace MARAN Breakfast Meeting, Tomorrow
Nigerian Maritime industry big wigs and agencies will converge at Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) Breakfast Meeting billed to hold at Rockview hotel, Apapa, tomorrow.
- The Breakfast Meeting is aimed at calling together critical stakeholders to examine the challenges besetting the efficiency of the Electronic Call System (Eto) and proffer lasting solutions.
Principal agency in charge of Eto Call-Up system, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), have registered their readiness to engage with other industry stakeholders at the meeting tomorrow alongside the port economic regulator, Nigerian Shippers Council.
Also, facilitators of the Eto Call-Up system, Trucks Transit Parks (TTP) and other associations within the port corridor consider the meeting a timely intervention to stem the tide of violations of law and order and thuggery associated with the ports and posing a challenge to the free flow of trade.
Other associations who have registered their commitment include; Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN), Lagos State Cargo and Transport Committee (LASTCOC) National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) Nexus Association of Maritime Transport Operators (NAMTOP) Association of Maritime Truck Owners (AMATO) among others.
The event would equally host the operators of the various truck holding bays licensed by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) as well as the Export Processing Terminals (EPT).
The event would hold on tomorrow, Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Rockview Hotel in Apapa, Lagos.
