MARAN Hosts Maritime Stakeholders to Q3 Strategic Breakfast Meeting
The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) will today, host a strategic breakfast meeting on trade facilitation for Maritime industry stakeholders.
This event is the third quarter (Q3) breakfast meeting organised by the Association for the year 2024 with the theme: “Trade Facilitation and President Tinubu’s Economic Agenda: Matters Arising,” and will commence by 10:00 a.m.
Comrade Fadipe Moses Olayemi, Founder and CEO of Skynet Trueway International Limited and Consultant CBI/MACN West Africa, will chair the meeting.
The event according to a press statement signed by the Association’s President, Mr Godfrey Bivbere, aims to bring together key maritime stakeholders to discuss the strategic alignment of trade facilitation measures with President Tinubu’s economic policies.
It noted that the meeting will feature prominent figures in the maritime industry, including Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, and Barrister Pius Akutah, Executive Secretary and CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council.
Dr. Muda Yusuf, CEO of the Centre for the Promotion of Public Enterprise, will deliver the keynote address, while Mr. Lucky Ehis Amiwero, National President of the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents, will deliver a goodwill message.
The statement further emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between governmental bodies and private sector stakeholders in fostering an environment conducive to trade.
